Supporting Collaborative and Innovative Programs to Advance the Lysosomal Storage Disorder Community Worldwide
Genzyme is pleased to announce the fifth annual Patient Advocacy Leadership Awards (PAL Awards) program for non-profit organizations that serve the lysosomal storage disorder (LSD) patient community. The PAL Awards program seeks to spark innovative collaborations in disease awareness programs and patient support initiatives around the world. As an independent voice in the lysosomal storage disease community, patient organizations play a vital role in providing leadership, resources and access to care and support for patients and their families around the world. We believe supporting their work is critical to optimizing patient care and meeting the ever-growing needs of the LSD community.
The ability to collaborate with other organizations in a meaningful way is essential to achieving long term progress. Collaboration – whether across borders, disease states, or areas of expertise – is key to advancing social movements on a global scale. Thus, PAL Awards 2015 seeks to encourage and support collaboration among two or more organizations to improve the lives of people living with an LSD.
